Industry Leaders Share Perspectives on India’s Evolving Construction Landscape

Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Association, and Wu Peiguo, Vice President and Secretary-General, were invited to participate in SDLG’s exhibition events. President Su Zimeng attended SDLG’s opening ceremony and new product launch on the opening day of the exhibition and delivered a speech.

The SDLG India stall was inaugurated in the presence of SDLG’s global & SDLG’s India leadership team and senior representatives of the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), marking the opening of SDLG’s participation at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026.

The presence of SDLG’s global leadership and industry representatives added significance to the opening and reflected the growing importance of the Indian market for SDLG.

At the exhibition, Mr. Wen Degang, General Manager of SDLG, delivered a speech, extending a warm welcome and sincere appreciation to the guests, partners, and media representatives present. He was joined by Mr. Wang Xiaohui and Mr. Li Yuecun, Vice General Managers of SDLG, as the company highlighted its continued growth and commitment to the global construction equipment industry.

Reflecting on SDLG’s journey of more than five decades, Mr. Wen Degang noted that the company’s products are now sold across more than 140 countries and regions worldwide. He also spoke about SDLG’s recognition as the only enterprise in China’s construction machinery industry to have received the prestigious EFQM Global Award.

The exhibition also brought together industry leaders and key stakeholders to discuss the evolving construction equipment landscape in India and the changing needs of the market.

The SDLG showcase brought together machines spanning earthmoving, mining, road construction and electric equipment. The lineup included compact and mid-range excavators, heavy-duty mining equipment, high-performance wheel loaders, motor graders and electric machines.

At the exhibition, SDLG showcased 12 products tailored to the requirements of the Indian market, spanning three core segments: earthmoving machinery, mining equipment and electrified equipment. The exhibits comply with applicable Indian regulations and noise-limit standards, while offering low fuel consumption, ease of maintenance and high reliability. The lineup was designed to address diverse applications across India, including municipal infrastructure, mining, precision operations and green construction.

The exhibition also saw the introduction of 10 new machines for the Indian market. The electrified range included a 23-tonne pure electric excavator and multiple electric wheel loaders, aligning with the growing focus on green infrastructure in India. Among the key introductions were the E6210Hi hydraulic excavator, E6225HEV battery electric hydraulic excavator and E6505H heavy-duty mining excavator. Each machine has been developed with specific application requirements in mind, combining productivity, efficiency and durability for Indian operating conditions.

The electric range was a key part of the showcase, highlighting SDLG’s growing focus on electrification and solutions designed to support more sustainable operations.
