The full SDLG motor grader range — including the flagship G9190H and the 240-hp G9220H — was on the floor at this year's India Roads Conclave at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
India is in the middle of its most ambitious road-building cycle in two decades. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways targets call for 12,000 km of new highway and expressway construction in financial year 2026 — 27 alone, with parallel state programmes adding another 30,000 km across rural connectivity and district networks. Motor graders sit at the heart of every one of those projects, shaping the subgrade and finishing layers that determine pavement life.
Over four days at India Roads Conclave 2026, SDLG hosted more than 2,400 visitors at the Hall 5 stand, delivered 18 live operating demos in the outdoor demo zone, and ran technical sessions for 320 highway-contractor delegates. We also took the opportunity to announce three commitments to the Indian road-construction segment.
·The G-series, on display
Three machines anchored the stand. The G9190H is our 190-hp flagship — a 16.6-tonne grader with a six-speed powershift transmission, electronic blade control and the load-sensing hydraulics platform now standard across the G-series. Built for highway and expressway sub-base work, the G9190H is the model behind several recent NHAI EPC-package wins on contractor fleets.
Alongside it, the new G9220H brings 240 hp and a 4.27-metre moldboard — sized for major expressway formation and large-volume material moving on greenfield sites. The G9138H rounds out the range at 150 hp, optimised for state-highway and rural-road duty cycles where machine weight and transportability matter as much as raw power.

·An extended-warranty programme for highway contractors
We announced the SDLG Highway-Builder Programme — a 5-year / 10,000-hour extended warranty bundled with on-site service engineer support, scheduled at the contractor's project milestones rather than at calendar intervals. The programme is currently open to fleets of three or more graders deployed on a single project. Eight pilot contractors have already enrolled across NHAI, MoRTH and state PWD packages.
·The 2026 — 2030 outlook for road construction
Our technical session on Day 3 walked delegates through what we are seeing in the field — average grader operating hours per project up 18% year on year, increasing preference for telematics-equipped machines (now 71% of new sales versus 48% in 2024), and a clear shift toward higher-horsepower platforms as expressway projects displace two-lane highway packages in the construction mix.
The takeaway, for both customers and our own engineering team, is that the next four years of Indian road construction will reward operators and OEMs that can run large fleets at high availability. Telematics, predictive maintenance, faster spare dispatch and dedicated training for operators will matter as much as the machines on the tender list.

The next major showing of the G-series will be at Excon Bangalore in November 2026, where we plan to demo a telematics-integrated G9190H variant with operator analytics and the first dealer-level rollout of our hydraulic remote-diagnostic kit.
